There are a number of ways you can put the train in your trip when you book online.
Stopping off on your journey
You can complete the whole journey or you can break your trip at stops along the way by adding up to 3 separate legs using the “Add another leg” button.
Multiple journeys
You can also book more than one journey by selecting ‘Service’. For example, you are able to select the Coastal Pacific then TranzAlpine.
Prior to departure
Passengers are advised to be at the station at least 20 minutes before departure time.
Early departures
Please note that once all booked passengers have joined the train at an intermediate station, the train may depart 10 minutes ahead of schedule.
Seating requests
Those passengers who may have booked separately but wish to sit together can make a seating request by calling 0800 TRAINS
(0800 872 467).
