Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre
Blenheim’s air tour de force
One of Blenheim’s major attractions is just a few minutes from town centre. Built around one of the world’s largest collections of original and replica World War 1 aircraft, including the last surviving Caproni Ca 22, this amazing collection includes rare memorabilia ranging from beautifully crafted ‘trench art’ though to personal items belonging to the Red Baron. What also makes this such a special place to visit are the realistic scenes created for the “Knights of the Sky “ exhibition by the award-winning cinematic and special effects geniuses of Peter Jackson’s Weta Workshop.
